Jonsered 2240 Chainsaw ReviewThis particular model causes some debate in the chainsaw world with a lot of people finding it difficult to get started. However, this simply comes from them not reading the chainsaw’s instruction manual correctly, or at all. It comes with a small but reasonably powerful gas motor that is 40 cc. It is the ideal chainsaw for occasional use around the garden. Although it can cut up all the firewood you would ever need, it does not have the power required to cut through thick tree trunks.
A handy feature of the 2240 is the snap locked cylinder covers that are quick release. Because of this the spark plugs and air filter can both be easily accessed for when they need replacing or for maintenance reasons. However, the air filter on the 2240 has been specially designed so that it does not get clogged up with dust and debris as quickly as others do so the need for maintenance is kept to a minimum.
